Roy Jenkins Pool User Preference Survey

Architect’s rendering of restored pool
Dear Neighbors:
You probably have heard, the City of Tampa is going to restore Roy Jenkins Pool, the public pool on Davis Islands. Because of strong support from the community and Mayor Buckhorn, the project is fully funded and is scheduled to go out for construction bid proposals in the Fall. The pool is expected to reopen in January 2014.
The Committee to Save Roy Jenkins Pool, a joint committee of the Civic Association and the DI Community Plan Stewardship Team, is presently conducting a short survey to find out how residents would like to use the pool once it reopens. With the survey results in hand, we’ll be asking our elected officials to make sure the City’s future operational budgets for the pool are sufficient to support the activities and hours people want.
We invite you to go to and complete the survey online by October 8th.
Please also pass this email along to those you think might be interested in providing input, but who may not have received this email.
We would very much appreciate your participation in the survey.
Charner Reese,
Pool Committee Member & DICA Board Member
