Repair Status of the Davis Islands Roy Jenkins Pool![]()

The pool was affected by a 4-foot storm surge, causing damage to furniture, drywall, electrical systems, and pool heaters. City of Tampa Parks & Rec Aquatics Supervisor Louis Campanell and his team have managed to keep the pool water sanitized by running the pumps. The damaged furniture and drywall have been removed and placed in a dumpster out front, while electrical repairs are nearing completion. Once finished, Louis will special order new pool heaters, which the Tampa Aquatics maintenance team will install and test. His ultimate goal is to have the pool fully restored and ready for use by summer.
Here is the parking information for Davis Islands during the upcoming Gasparilla parade. Setting up campsites or campers is strictly prohibited at all times, and parking enforcement signs will be posted on January 24 and 25. If you see anyone attempting to set up camp on any street, please contact the Tampa Police Department's non-emergency line at (813) 231-6130. For vehicles parked in no-parking zones or permit-only areas, you can contact parking enforcement at (813) 274-8179 or the non-emergency line for assistance.
